Dr Aarifa Hussain, Dentist Special Interest Periodontal Disease (Gum Disease)
Dr Hussain graduated with Honours from Cardiff University with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS). Following graduation, she completed two years of postgraduate training in Oral Surgery and Oral Medicine alongside the Maxillofacial team, gaining valuable experience in the management of complex oral health conditions.
Committed to lifelong learning and clinical excellence, Dr. Hussain was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Operative Dentistry with Distinction from King's College London. She has also completed a Postgraduate Certificate with the PerioAcademy in London and is currently undertaking a three-year MSc in Periodontology at the University of Bristol, achieving a Distinction in her first year.
Further demonstrating her dedication to professional development, Dr. Hussain has successfully completed the MJDF and MFDS examinations (Parts 1 and 2) with the Royal College of Surgeons.
Dr. Hussain is passionate about providing minimally invasive, evidence-based dentistry, with a strong emphasis on prevention and preserving natural tooth structure wherever possible. She firmly believes that oral health is intrinsically linked to overall health and wellbeing and works closely with her patients to achieve optimum oral health outcomes.
She has a particular interest in the prevention and management of periodontal (gum) disease, helping patients maintain healthy gums as the foundation for a healthy smile. She also believes that good oral health habits begin at a young age and is passionate about creating positive dental experiences for children. Dr. Hussain prides herself on providing gentle, compassionate care for paediatric and highly nervous patients, taking the time to build trust and help every patient feel comfortable and at ease throughout their treatment.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hussain enjoys longboard dancing, painting and spending quality time with her younger sister.
